"Hi, could I get a medium latte with a side of nudity?" What?? There is a new coffee chain that unfortunately is not limited to this town alone. More specifically it is a PINK coffee hut and the gal serving you will be wearing a bikini. Yes, that's right. Now correct me if I'm wrong, but what exactly is being served here?? And to whom? I am less than pleased with this new hut and I aim to think that I am not alone. Now especially as a mother I am even more appalled than ever to think of my daughter being exposed to such a ludicrous picture. I'm sorry but what type of message does this send to young teenage girls as well as to the rest of the population?* Serving coffee is a form of sexism and exploitation and dare we say, prostitution??
** To get big tips you must show yourself half naked to the general public (isn't getting tips for wearing a bikini condescending to begin with)?
For me this is worth writing a blog at the very least. I encourage anyone who feels gutsy to take a drive through this locale and put in your two cents, metaphorically speaking.
And how about this for a tip: You can wear your clothes and I'll still order coffee from you.
